Vole. Pretty sure its a vole anyway. It kept popping out from behind the garden shed and eating sunflower seeds which the birds had dropped. It made me realise we need to have a good clean up and the slabs need power hosing but that's another task.
After a while a large pigeon landed and cleaned up all the dropped seed single handedly. The vole has not been seen since.
