Barrancos

Another slightly unplanned hike as, having decided to visit the 'Badlands' before driving north, we then decided to walk out to the mirador at the Barrancos de Gebas rather than risk the hire car on the somewhat dicey drive down to it. Then we headed up to our next stop, Guadalest, north of Alicante, a picturesque hilltop village in the mountains accessible only through a pedestrian tunnel carved into the rock, checked into our B&B and strolled up to the ruined castle at the top. And the later, by night the deserted village was like a movie set...
