San Isidro

We picked up our hire car in Alicante and headed for the mountains, stopping off in the pleasant sleepy town of Orihuela for a walk up the hill, a coffee, a look at the Cathedral and a visit to the murals in the barrio of San Isidro, a self-styled 'Museo al Aire Libre.' Then we carried on, leaving the main road at Alhama de Murcia and heading into the hills of the Parque Regional de Sierra Espuna - and our destination at the village of El Berro, a hospederia with stunning views, a beautiful home-cooked dinner and a very scary drive down to the car park...!
