The Bittern Countryside Community Interest Company is funded and run by a group of people
who live in the Arnside/Silverdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. They live comfortable lives
in a lovely place. They are so grateful for this that they feel they want to give something back to the community.
They have concentrated their efforts on conservation, education, sustainability and working against climate change.
Over the past decade they have funded solar panels on the roofs of schools and other community buildings, produced 14 different
Nature Guides to the area which have paid for themselves through sales, plus a number of other community programmes.
They are now concentrating on producing guides like this one.
