Trees

There are just a few leaves left on the trees but it's mostly the bark on the trunks and branches that is catching the light now. This was taken at midday and the sun is as high as it was going to get. We are about a month before the shortest day and there is some light still reaching the trees in the lower parts of the garden, but that will disappear. There is always a day in mid to late January when the sunlight returns to the garden and that's a great day - we are through the darkest time!
