We headed through to Glasgow today to meet up with E and J. They were up for a wedding, but popping into Glasgow before the Sleeper back down to the big smoke.
Our meetup point was down on Dumbarton Road, which was an unusual place to start. It did however make sense when we were taken to a coffee shop that J wanted to visit. We were in this neck of the woods for a cycling cafe called Siempre. This rather vast shop was 1/3 bike store, 1/2 coffee shop and 1/3 bike store viewing gallery for a road race occurring today (I think in Italy).
The food was immense. Artisan bread, pulled pork and swiss cheese. The coffee was brilliant too, though I didn't see where their beans came from.
We left J here to see the end of the race as there was at least another hour to go. I parked in town and we met up with MrsCyclops who had just gotten in from Edinburgh on the train.
After a brief visit to the new Paperchase I broke from the group, deciding to see some of the other shops of Glasgow.
I met up later in the Cup Tea Lounge for some nice tea and chatter.

Dinner was at Pancho Villas on Bell Street. A bit of a walk, but worth it in the end. However, the shocker of the evening was that they had ran out of Guacamole the previous night and not replenished theirs stocks, either by purchasing some, or making some!
There was great debate about us supplementing our dinner with supplies purchased from a local Tesco, but with the cold and lack of motivation to do so this plan was never put into action. The food was still nice, if missing a key component. I believe a letter will be written.
