Portrait without Likeness
Another prompt start on another glorious morning. I was in the Scottish National Portrait Gallery just after 10 to see the Alison Watt exhibition A Portrait Without a Likeness which was sumptuous. You are invited to think about the absence of human presence and consider why the artist might have made the painting.
I spent the rest of the day dawdling through the New Town and Princes Street Gardens where the Christmas Market was in full swing.
A highly entertaining journey home, accompanied on the bus by a lively group of women on their way to the Hydro who decided they were travelling to Torremolinos, it was a double decker with little tables that pull out.
