View from Auchineden Hill
A beautiful sunny Monday morning and despite the car showing an outdoor temperature of 0 degrees I suggested a walk to The Whangie (a rocky outcrop in the Kilpatrick Hills) I have never liked walking on ice and since slipping and breaking my wrist last December I have been particularly scared so walking up the hillside on frozen mud was not very enjoyable. However, once we were at the top of Auchineden Hill the views over to Loch Lomond were lovely and by the time we had walked around the Whangie and back down the hill again the ice had gone, I was very relieved!
