Stone Farm Rocks

For a change we headed up to Standen this morning. Its the Arts & Crafts house designed by Philip Webb and famous for its William Morris interiors. We weren't visiting the house but walking through its gardens and the estate to visit the Stone Farm Rocks geological SSSI. The rocks (owned by the British Mountaineering Council) comprise exposed Tunbridge Wells Sandstone overlooking the Weir Wood reservoir. It was sunny and warm and I spotted a couple of Red Admirals and a Peacock sunning themselves on the rocks.
