Magic with RM Hubbert
We saw this poster outside a wee pub we popped into yesterday up in Glasgow. Only jumping in for a quick drink we found ourselves in the middle of a pub quiz, which we then joined in for the last part and which ended up being pretty funny.
Chris even asked the woman behind the bar if he could steal the poster as we were heading to the gig in a few hours time. She said he could and he did. Though he ended up losing it before hitting the last train home back to Irvine.
The gig was excellent. A intimate wee affair in the CCA up in Sauchiehall Street. And RM Hubbert was quite honest about the inspirations for his songs and very funny with his between song banter.
An amazing guitarist, and with a lot of songs being instrumental, his powerful and beautiful playing, without the hinderence of words getting in the way, just let you lose youself in the magic he was producing.
A few guests were there to help him out as well as good friend Aidan Moffat to add to the magical musical night.
I leave the story of the days drinking adevntures for another time.
