Chicago Peace

We had a low key day. I returned to the optometrist and had another eye test as the spectacles were not quite right after two sets of lenses. The lovely lady (Jo) thought I needed stronger reading sections and smaller frames as the ones I had were way too big. So now they are having another go with completely new frames and a slightly different way of making up the correct prescription. 

Reading Walter Tevis’s “the Queens Gambit”. It was first published in 1983 and recently made into a Netflix series. It is really good. 

My rose today is Chicago Peace. Same shape as Peace but a richer colour.
