Off to the parent's in Crail for Easter lunch and egg hunting; a lovely sunny (if cold) day. The children spent lots of time running around the garden hunting eggs and bunnies. Roast lamb for lunch (delicious; lots of garlic!), cake, coffee. All very tasty.

Just after the main course the cameras came out; I had my DSLR with manual 50mm lens, my sister had her Panasonic super-zoom thingy (looked quite promising; lots of glass on the front at least) and my father had his Olympus XZ-1 (plenty of glass and f1.8 maximum aperture). I think we'll be swapping pictures to see who got the best.

I had my eyes tested yesterday; they're slowly getting worse and it's become noticeable when using a manual lens now; I have to rely on the focus indicator flashing to tell me where the real focus is. I need to set the dioptre compensation on the camera properly.

This is +1/3 busy taking a self-portrait with my sister's camera!
