Ignoble rot

Sauternes sweet wine is made from grapes that are allowed to produce what is called pourriture noble or 'noble rot.' There is nothing noble about our neighbours' grapes which now will not be picked. Our Danish neighbours contracted Covid and now will not be out till January. There was a PCC meeting after the church service this morning which ran on much longer than expected. I still found time for a short walk before lunch and then spent the afternoon writing up the minutes, catching up with the sport and preparing a canvas.
