Sea Lion
This young sea lion on Española Island was both a lovely color and pretty convinced he (or she) has a future as a model. S/he was also very curious. See more in the Extras. And as you'll see, we were literally almost tripping over them. They are on ALL the islands.
Also on Española, and the primary reason for our visit to the island, were lots and LOTS of waved albatrosses. The extras show a pair doing a bit of mating (or bonding) ritual, with their chick in the foreground; and an albatross taking off by basically falling off the cliff; and an albatross flying by just off the cliff edge. Albatrosses mate for life, but apparently boobies do not.
And finally, the ubiquitous mockingbird - this time the Española mockingbird.
