...is fully automated now - you are funneled into two lanes and simply drive through...

I'm still very miffed, as they've made a lot of money over the past few months out of people who were slightly out of step with the system - including us! There used to be barriers, and they were the first thing to go - but you still had to stop for the red light so the system had time to record your numberplate. Now even the red light has gone, but there are fewer lanes to choose from. In the various interim incarnations they have fined lots of people for getting it wrong - including us - very poor customer relations IMHO...

Rant over, now home safe and sound in S Yorks, and looking forward to watching the Strictly results show with a glass of wine in hand :)
