Snow on The Mount
Although we have remained snow free in the valley, Mount Washington (fondly referred to as "The Mount") is wearing its winter white. Snow always comes early on the Mount at 6,288 feet. If you look really, really carefully, maybe with a magnifying glass, you can just see the Mount Washington Observatory on the top. Manned year round by some hardy souls it is also the home of "Nimbus" the cat who replaced Marty who died last autumn after 12 years of service at the Observatory. I've been to the top twice, once along the auto road and once on The Cog Railroad. Today I just gazed from afar. A beautiful sight.
