Abbey days

After a short trip out up to Trentham Gardens -for some reason both of us forgot that shops generally close around 5 o'clock- we decided to take a scenic route home so that it didn't feel like a complete waste of time.
We decided to check out Croxden Abbey down some narrow hair-raising country roads still piled high on either side with walls of snow.

The sign did say that it closed at 5 and the main part of the abbey was all locked up but on the other side of the road was an unlocked gate to the old chapel so I decided to have a look around and through.
