Hathersage, Peak District.

A last minute shot as we drove home after a very pleasant walk and birthday picnic near Padley Gorge in the Peak District .Florence was two yesterday , we joined her and her parents and her other grandparents to celebrate.
It was good to hang out with warm , compassionate people and swap news . I could have taken some great shots but we were too busy just being present with one another . The parents of our beloved toddler are exhausted as they seem to suffer one bug after another , probably picked up and brought home from nursery . I’m just hoping that the four grandparents escape the bugs , we will have to wait and see .
I came away with some new book recommendations regarding environmental issues .
