Pittenweem Outdoor Pool.
I got up at7:30 and wandered up out of the town to the outdoor pool for the sun rise. I expected to have the place to myself except for the odd dog walker.
There was however a steady stream of wild swimmers wrapping up or disrobing at the concrete steps descending to the pool.
There was also a degree of uniformity about this clan. They were all relatively mature ladies, outfitted consistently, rubber shoes, gloves, costume and floral cap then the long coats and pom-pomed beanies for after the immersion.
This was not there first freezing plunge.
All of the ladies I saw looked healthy ruddy but it may have just been the pink sunrise glow.
