Rainy Day in Mostar

We have been real tourists today and went on an organized trip to Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was an interesting experience, but an awful day for photography. This is The Old Bridge in Mostar, built by the Ottomans in the 16th century, is one of Bosnia and Herzegovina's most recognizable landmarks, and is considered one of the most exemplary pieces of Islamic architecture in the Balkans (Wikipedia).

It was amazing to see all the scars of the war that still could be seen in and around the town. This bridge was also completely destroyed on 9 November 1993. The reconstructed bridge was inaugurated on 23 July 2004.
