Christmas is coming
After an excellent nights sleep I woke feeling better and more energetic that I had for a long time, and I didn’t feel cold. Various adminy things this morning and my usual gentle Friday yoga. There are elements of the practice that feel balletic, and others that remind me (in a very good way) of the BBC Schools Music and Movement programme in the 1960s.
An afternoon a bit like One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest, but I’m getting used to that. The non Friday yoga helps – you notice things but you don’t evaluate what you see.
A restorative trip to the library with another good haul, including Elif Shafak’s The island of Missing Trees set in 1974 Cyprus, and the Rough Guide to Poland which might be my next adventure, once I’ve got my booster jag, and depending what happens across Europe.
The blip is the First Christmas Card, a rather nice one from the Ramblers although of course everyone knows it’s most unwise to dry leather boots beside direct heat.
