Easter Sandaig

We spent a lovely few hours at Sandaig overlooking Skye today. It is famous for being the place where Gavin Maxwell lived with his otters, but it means more to me as my dad grew up there and his ashes were scattered just in fromt of where I stood to take this photo.
A lot of the trees have already been removed and I am sure the rest will go soon leaving the hillsides ugly and scarred until new planting or natural growback occurs. Even with the ugly forestry work I still like this view of the old cottage and a snow dusted Beinn Sgritheall in the distance.
