Easter Sunday Walk

The sun was out, so we decided to go out too with the dog. But as soon as we stepped outside the sun went away. (It returned 5 mins after we got back to the house!!) But still had a wonderful walk. This little pavillion is called The China House and it's design in atributed to Inigo Jones, hence it is a Grade 1 listed building. It is situated in the grounds of Beckett Hall, once the family home of the Barringtons. For people living in Shrivenham we are free to walk in the grounds, although the old manor house itself is behind razor wire, bcz it is the property of the MOD in the military academy.
We feel so lucky to be able to walk here, and there will be plenty of fantastic spots to picnic around the lake should summer arrive this year. Although the swans were not pleased to see any of the dogs being walked here!
