Slippers For Christmas?

A loooong time ago (3 1/2 weeks) I surrendered my ‘phone to the tech gurus who promised a new battery in a few days. Due to some incomprehensible (to me) difficulties with the installation process, I now have a new ‘phone for the cost of a new battery. I’m happy now.

I braved the icy roads to pay a visit to the bookstore and passed this display of slippers (mittens and gloves on the other side) accompanied by seasonal songs and decor. Aaargh.
