Full to the brim
While G was taking the recycling to the bins, I rolled down the car window and took this. Raining again, so I decided to wait in the car. It was good to pick up some groceries today. Some people had carts that were full to the brim but there was no shortage of food or any supplies that I noticed. Still long lineups at the gas stations but we didn't need any. G's very conscious of not getting caught without enough gas in the car in case of emergencies.
We were busy talking and missed the Road Closed sign at the junction to the main road. We were very close to the washout there when we realized that we were supposed to take the secondary road. Took us a bit longer to get to town after backtracking and using the right road! Not sure when the main road will be opened again, but thank goodness we have another one that is holding up okay. No repairs happening on the two washouts on our road today and no news about when the major fixes will happen.
The damage in the province is of "epic proportions" and some military personnel have arrived to help in places that need it most. Devastating.
