Abstract Thursday. : : Shapes

We were awakened this morning by the sound of concrete blocks being sawed on one side of us and jackhammering of concrete on the other.
We had time to throw on some clothes and make coffee before David and Greg arrived to turn off the water and finish the plumbing.

A construction site is certainly a good place for abstract photos. I peered in there after David and Greg left for the day. Things always look worse before they get better, but David told me that they will be ready for the tile guys on Monday. The electricity is turned off to that room now, so this picture of a dangling LED light fixture is pretty grainy. I left it that way as it seems to add to the abstract quality.

Feeling a bit fragile, and not wanting to bend my knee much today, I've been hanging out in the back room with a space heater at my feet and AirBuds in my ears, editing photos . I'm up to October 8, 2017, the night theTubbs fire started. The rest of the house is cold with holes through the floor and an open window with a fan in it.

Jim, who usually works from home, texted to say that he was not at home today and,  'we have a poor lonely dog in case you want any company this afternoon.' I said he was welcome to come but it was pretty chaotic. They all know what it's like having lived through the same process a couple of months ago. He replied, 'It's fine. He can continue hanging out by himself eating olive pits until Dana gets home.'

It's been that kind of day....
