Take Off

This was taken in Edzell in Angus, Eastern Scotland this morning while out for a walk after breakfast. I saw this Great Tit at the top of this Conifer Tree and thought I would check out the telephoto lens. As luck would have it,the Great Tit decided to fly away just as I pressed the shutter. I thought I had missed it, but upon looking at the playback, I saw this photo of its wings open at the start of flight. I was well chuffed, I must admit. I have been wanting to capture a small bird in flight since I got this camera a few weeks ago. Now I know it is possible to capture these types of photo!
