L'église de la Madeleine

Quite a different view since the restauration of the south façade started. Usually it has the architecture of an ancient greek temple, now covered with advertising while the church inside is still open. Surfing on the web I found out, that the building belongs to the city of Paris and that of the estimated 10 Mio Euros cost of the renovation, around 8 Mio Euros are paid by this publicity. 
 
We had a good day today, staying on rive droite, enjoying even some sun. A sweet ‘lunch’ at a place described by 4 magic words: Confiseur – Chocolatier – Pâtissier – Glacier.
