Something solved! Something not

The plumbers came out this morning and discovered that the reason our washing machine wouldn’t drain was that the removers had connected the outflow hose to the hot water input instead of the drainage pipe!!!  The young lad that they left to connect it had obviously not been trained in any way!  So we will be asking for the removal firm to refund us the money we have had to pay out today.. We couldn’t check what had happened ourselves as the machine was full of soaking towels and we couldn’t move it…

More fun today is that it appears our phone line may only support 5mb per second internet.  And it appears that BT have no liability for this (except presumably to drop our monthly fee down which is extortionate anyway).  We are hoping that it may ‘warm up’ and provide more speed, otherwise any live viewing of anything will be screwed my son says, and it’s actually going back to the speeds we had in 2006!!!  Better news.. the speed is now up to 18mb.


And the house itself is lovely!  So happy about it in every other way.
