New Zealand Flax, aka Phormium tenacity. I hope I got the spelling right. This specimen, growing beside the river, had only just burst out from its green leafy covering.
It was very chilly when Maisie and I ventured out early this morning. I asked Siri what the temperature was. (I’ve got a male Siri. He sounds Australian.)
Siri told me it was 6 C. That is very chilly for this time of the year.
