Think, try, share

Been a while

..since I did a Blip.

This is my first attempt at using a speedlite outdoors as a fill light.

Basically...

I dropped the ISO down to 200, used a wide (ish) aperture of f14 and 1/100 shutter speed. I had to experiment a lot to get to that point. Then...

I placed a Yongnuo speedlite on a mini tripod to the right and low down. Love Yongnuo speedlites... such great value (although they only do manual).

Without the speedlite the shot would be very dark. The speedlite provides the fill light that gives the shot some punch.

This is a first attempt so perhaps not yet ready to call myself a strobist but I am enjoying the experimentation. At last I had the courage to try this out.
