Letters from 1948

I've been home today with mild cold/sore throat, trying to avoid spreading it.  This is a picture of some letters that my dad wrote to my mother in 1948 while he was in New York for 5 weeks going to IBM training.  He wrote every day, sometimes more than once a day. They had been married about 10 months at the time.  I'm working on typing up the letters to save them for posterity.  It's been interesting to read about my parents back in the day, adds a little more understanding of them.  I just wish I had the letters she wrote to him.  He was so lovesick and homesick.  As it turned out, he didn't stay with IBM too long, but went back to school and got into teaching.
