Geocaching trip
The route was pretty challenging for us. The photo is looking back down and across the route we took between two of the caches and the terrain rating is only 2 (out of 5)! It looks much less challenging than it did in reality.
The whole trail was deep mud, flooded paths, trenches filled with deep mud and/or water. A lot of the mud was the suction type. We were lucky not to end up on our backsides.
We had one did not find which apparently was a piece of fake grass at the base of a post which has long grass growing all around it that never gets cut.
There was a very ugly, sprawling scrapyard with its contents spilling out and much litter. Loads of the area (old coal mine so many slag heaps) had been churned up by off road bikes and quads.
We didn't give any favourite points!
Extra photo of one of the typical flooded areas.
I was glad to finish this series - we won't go back for the one we failed to find.
Had a GP appointment before I went geocaching. Got a referral to physio for the sciatic pain, a referral for a shoulder injection, some treatment for low iron and a follow-up in 3 months. Of course I can get back in touch if I need to before then.
