Poppies in the sunshine

This is the net of crocheted and knitted poppies at the village war memorial, I thought it was looking lovely in the sunshine today with the strategically parked cars and the golden tree. People are very creative.
Wednesday morning so church today. Ali came over after the service to join the congregation for coffee. Baby Josie was well cooed over by those who had known her mum since she was a baby! So was her mum, for that matter, as one of her old nursery teachers was there!
We wandered through the village and popped into the charity shops Ali picking up a brand new dress from J Lewis for Josie and a pair of Levis for herself. I refrained! I would have bought a very pretty little Buchan dish in a shape and design I'd never seen before, it must have had a crack in it though as it split into two as the lady was scanning the price ticket!!! I'm glad it happened in the shop and not as I walked out of the door or I would have been fed up!
We came home for a quick sandwich then Ali took Josie for her 8 week medical check, she passed, apparently she is definitely a baby. Tomorrow is the dreaded first vaccine day! Well I remember it.
I had a meeting with Stephen our Rector this afternoon chatting through various plans and ideas so that's good. I'm not very good at doing nothing.
I had a mystery dish from the freezer for dinner this evening. I thought I'd taken out a beef stew but it turned out to be a sausage casserole. It was jolly good anyway.
Keep safe folks.
