I got here first!

This Cape Weaver was looking very threatening when another bird tried to get to the feeder.
It's been a lovely summer's day, some rain this morning and yay, my rain tank is full. It is connected to the house so I could bypass the municipal water and enjoy a rain water shower. I did a large load of washing too - what a pleasure not using water from our 11% capacity dams!
This evening the sky was filled with hundreds of swallows arriving from faraway lands - a sure sign that summer is here.
