Frost Shadows

Up this morning at 0600 hours (0500 GMT) and watched it get light. Just after 0700 hours the Sun broke through the clouds for a few minutes and the frost on the grass vanished, where the sunshine reached. After this it clouded over again and the un-melted frost remained. At 0900 hours the frost shadows from the sunshine earlier were still very visible on the lawn as you can see from this picture.
