Biltmore
Over one hundred years ago, George Vanderbilt decided to build his 'summer house' just outside of Asheville, NC. The 178,926 sq ft "little mountain escape" built between 1889 and 1895, is the largest privately owned house in the United States and is still owned by Vanderbilt's descendants.
We toured Biltmore today and had lunch in the 'Stable Cafe'. Biltmore was beautifully decorated for Christmas. In the *Extra...one of the Gargoyles on the mansion's roof and a beautiful little Girl Goat named Juliet, who I met at Biltmore's Farm Animal Petting Area.
