On the ring road with Frieda

I picked Frieda up from Jack and Marianna's at 8.30 this morning, and drove her home again at 4.30. We all spent a happy day together, despite the fact that F has yet another snotty cold. Usually she's keen to get out to the park for a while during the day. But today she preferred indoor entertainment, including a long imaginary game about visiting an island, to which she sailed on a small boat made of my outstretched legs, with appropriate sounds and movements from me. This worked wonders for the Fitbit score :-)
I managed to tempt her outside briefly in the afternoon, and we raked up dead leaves in the garden together.
On my way home, I got stuck in traffic and grabbed a quick shot of the illuminated Moore St substation, while marooned on the ring road. There's some info about this "icon of brutalist architecture" here, including how it came to acquire its illumination:
