Stumps by the Side of the Road

... and the lessons they have to teach.


Felled by a storm, the debris was cleared some years ago and the stump left to weather and rot. In time what had once been one of the tall and proud Live Oaks that lined the road, became home to new growth, fragile perhaps but resilient too. This is the reason I enjoy wandering with a camera and love this community quite so much. I notice things I might have passed by and get to listen to the stories they want to tell and the lessons they have to teach ... and the adventure through the viewfinder continues.


November is always a busy month in the Pepper Patch, this year more so than usual.  That, combined with some epic digital failures, has cut my online blip-time by half .Please forgive any lapses in posting/ commenting/replying and any accompanying errors in spelling and grammar. Chances are it was three o'clock in the morning.
