OMG

It doesn't feel like I own the tree, it feels like I'm caretaking it. I think it is because I've spent so much time thinking about how big various trees will be when 25 years old. 

Most websites say about as tall as it is now but a couple and the nursery say it will reach 20 feet tall, 15 feet wide at maturity.  

A 20 gallon tub is very big. 

It arrived still having leaves, which are gorgeous. The little leaves are so pretty. It is just tall enough that the leaves can clear the wall. The position lets me see it from the window or the door. 

It has a nice, tall trunk. There is a little berm around it so that when I water it in the Spring the water doesn't just float off. 

I'll get to look at it all day.
