Steamin' on

Noticing more activity than I'd expect for a saturday morning in Morpeth I looked around for clues. The unmistakeable sign of train spotters was plain to see. Camera toting man-boys. Physically grown up but clearly excited. Sure emough within minutes a plume of smoke followed a rush of steam and the Grand Marquess (type K4 - OK I looked it up!) picked up pace and left heading for the mineral line to Bedlington en route to Newcastle with a projected destination of Crag End near Saltburn. A day trip for enthusiasts
