An Alarming Experience
Scotland’s New Fire & Carbon Monoxide Safety Regulations
Smoke alarms should be installed in every circulation space on each storey of the dwelling, such as hallways and landings
Smoke alarms should be installed in the room most frequently used for general daytime living purposes
Heat alarms must be installed in every kitchen
All smoke alarms and heat alarms should be interlinked
Carbon monoxide alarms to be fitted where ever there is a fuel-burning appliance or flue
Got ours done today. A guy in our bowling club is fitting them at cost for £25 donation to the club! £150 saved!!!. The local electricians must be fuming (which probably sets their alarms off). Very neat and tidy. The alarms all talk to one another via wi-fi, I suspect they have already set up their own snapchat account.
Going for our Flu jabby jab jabs tomorrow. No sign of our boosters though, probably moot as we will be at war with Russia by the weekend. Kaboom!
Mrs FP has a corker of a cold (it is a cold - tested herself) so I am helping her improve her hygiene and social interactions by pushing her meals on a tin tray into the locked garage via a notch cut into the door.
A pal has just had prostate cancer confirmed. Walked with him and our mental dogs along the beach today. He seems remarkably sanguine about it. Maybe he read the article on war with Russia too.
Right I'm off to get some carpet cleaner. The alarm installer tested them. Twice. Murdo wasn't impressed. Twice.
