Beet

Nothing exciting to blip tonight...the only photo I took was of the year's last (and only) beet harvest, which I ate myself since the only other member of the family who likes them is away at college. And I hated beets as a kid, so I think it's fine not to inflict them. This variety's tastier, especially roasted. Even fixed the greens, with garlic and cider vinegar and some brown sugar, and they were yummy. 

Lots of outdoor work today, weeding and pulling frosted plants out of the veggie garden. Must not let it get overgrown next year as it's so much work to rein it in. An early night...I'm beat.
