Thanksgiving altar

It was a cold wet dreary day today, so the beautiful Thanksgiving altar was a particularly welcome and colourful sight at church this morning. We had a good service, followed by coffee and “goodies”, then we went to Bible study. As we were driving back home afterwards, the precipitation was a definite wintry mix, sometimes more rain, sometimes more snow! We were thankful for the car’s heating and heated seats! I thought some hot soup was called for, so I got out our soup maker, and made us a Spicy parsnip and carrot soup for lunch, which warmed us up nicely, accompanied by some fresh baked baguette (take and bake from Kroger’s). Roger went off to the gym again, but I didn’t particularly want to poke my head outside again, so I stayed home in the warm, and later started preparing our roast pork dinner.
