Pretty but..

Not really wanted growing at the base of an old rose which covers one end of the house is owners live in. I haven't looked in any books yet to discover what it is but it might be hymenogastraceae. I don't think it's going to be a major problem, possibly just some dead wood at the base of the stem.

Lots of rose work today, the changing climate has meant that roses are actively growing much later in the year.

Dinner was fish and chips, it's Friday after all!!
