Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Shocking!

I was rather horrified to read the papers this morning, and see that Ireland had beaten the All Blacks! I was not horrified at the result OH NO! I was horrified that I had MISSED IT!! I was on Prime to watch the three other games, and there was a bit of a rest in between games. But I did not check my calendar, nor did I flip over to Channel 4, but listened to my audiobook. DRAT!

So I watched it this morning on my iPad with my porridge. What an exciting game, even though I knew who won (though I didn’t know the score). Well done Ireland (land of my mum’s birth). I then watched the Remembrance Day parade.

JR went to the gym, and in the afternoon Becky came to take Archie out, so we popped over to see Hazel’s new art work. Then we dandered down to Argyle Place for a coffee and cake. I am (sort of) on a (sort of) diet, so I just looked at JR’s pastry. Well, I just had a teensy wee bit…

Becky came in for a chat when she brought Archie back. She and Daniel are moving to Newcastle very soon, so Archie (we) will miss them -  they’ve been taking Archie out for walks every week for about five years! Becky will try and find a new doggie to take out in her new city.

I caught the second half of the Wales/Fiji match. Well done Wales, it was touch and go for a while. Though I don’t like your new strip.

Check out the groovy coffee machine - all hidden away under the counter. (Extra)
