Byron’s Pool
D and I walked Molly round Byron’s Pool in Cambridge. According to their website it was ‘Named after the poet Lord Byron (1788-1824) who is said to have bathed in the weir pool whilst studying at Trinity College, the reserve today still offers the tranquillity of yesteryear. Formerly part of the Trumpington Hall Estate the woodland was acquired by the City Council in 1949 and, more recently, declared as a Local Nature Reserve in 2005.’
We then went to Waitrose to get some bits for dinner.
I spent the afternoon preparing PowerPoints and a script for our sharing assembly on Friday.
D is cooking pheasant while keeping one eye on the Grand Prix.
