Worth their Weight in Gold

These cherry trees in the Meadows keep on giving. Not only are they resplendent in spring lining the paths in their full regalia of pink blossom but in autumn they are stunning as they outshine every other tree with their yellow and russet leaves which seem to glow as the afternoon light fades.

Today is the birthday of daughter #2. She shares it with Prince Charles. In days gone by she used to wake to the national anthem being played on the radio- how to feel special. If that were not fame enough, she was baptised with the holy water of the river Jordan . As far as I know that was the last time she graced the inside of a church. I think I was hedging my bets having the children baptised. You never know, do you? The trouble is, science gets in the way of faith.
