Down to Upton
In our quest to find the best Sunday lunch today we ventured to Upton on Severn
Although it’s only a few miles down river it’s not somewhere we’d explored. The lunch at Ye Olde Anchor ( est 1601) was good with desserts from the Upton Pudding Shop. Treacle sponge for him and Jam sponge for me.
We passed the old post box on the way to the pub.
Extras show the river, the dog sculpture decorated in purple poppies, and the Pepperpot.( once the tower of a church now the tourist information centre) .
