Wren

As we are sorting out the house, prior to getting new windows put in the front of the house we have a large amount of unnecessary paper which needs sorting. I spent the morning sorting out one small box, some of it goes back to 2000! There is still another pile of papers to sort on another cold, wet day.

Today's picture is of a Wren. I was amazed to see it in the Hawthorn berries as I did not think they flew that high, nor do they visit bird tables. I was surprised to see it fly down to the top of one of our feeding stations, then realised that it was drinking water, rather than looking for food. I have included an extra today of it sitting on top of the feeding station.

The temperature at GMT today in my home village was twelve degrees Celsius; another dull and wet day.
